Nice Job. I'm excited about this and want to get started ASAP.
Can I start advertising if I don't have a banner? Or can I just have my web address as my banner?
If not how do I make a banner?

You need to have a banner to begin advertising. Banner can simply be an image of your choice which represents your website, or advertises for your website. You can obviously have text, such as your website name or more inside your image.
Photoshop is a great tool for making banners. Here are some links on how you could make banners:
